Picture of the alleged Bambu Lab H2D

Last week, we reported on a rumor about a new Bambu Lab printer called H2D. The subject is still dividing people about whether or not this is real. Many have pointed to some “old” patents attributed to Bambu Lab:

The last two spark the most interest. They seem to show what could be a printer head with two nozzles and an AMS-like system that could feed those two nozzles.

Even though the H2D picture doesn’t seem to show the nozzles tilted like the patent picture, this could be related.

Having a tool head with two nozzles could be interesting; it would be faster to switch between filaments, cheaper than having multiple tool heads, potentially retro-compatible with previous printers, etc. Yet, many questions would still be in the air, like how it would handle different materials that require different temperatures or how it would handle switching filaments.

Those rumors give credit to the H2D picture that surfaced recently, but they are still rumors, and we won’t know anything for sure until Bambu Lab announces it next year.
