A screenshot of someone saying BigTreeTech is working on a replacement board for Bambu Lab printers

Update: This screenshot comes from “Level 2 Jeff” YouTube Channel video: “I probably won’t buy another Bambu Lab printer.” Thank you, A1_user, for sharing this information in the comment!

In a screenshot (above), initially shared on Bluesky, someone says BigTreeTech is working on a replacement board for Bambu Lab printers running Klipper, with the project being called “Panda Cyborg.” That would be some great news for many, following the latest announcement from Bambu Lab.

Yet, this is to be taken with a grain of salt, as we couldn’t find the origin of that screenshot. The screenshot seems to come from Reddit, yet out of the three users, only one seems to exist: looxonline. And according to their profile, they haven’t posted in three years. Still, that could be in a private subreddit.

In any case, even if this project doesn’t exist, there is one that does, and it has been gaining traction since Bambu Lab’s announcement: https://github.com/ChazLayyd/Bambu-Lab-Klipper-Conversion

The project aims to convert a P1S to Klipper by replacing the mainboard. Not everything works, but the project is already working, even with an AMS. This is very promising and definitely something to follow closely.
